NEW DELHI (Commodity Online): India will help to ramp up production in Venezuelan oil fields which could also be utilized by the upcoming refinery projects in India to herald long term cooperation in the sector, said Petroleum and Natural Gas Murli Doera.
Doera conveyed this to the visiting Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Temir Porras Ponceleon.
India and Venezuela agreed to explore all possibilities for expanding the areas of cooperation between the two countries in the wake of growing cooperation in hydrocarbon sector.
Concurring with this, the Venezuelan Minister stressed the need for enhancing cooperation other sectors in line with the growing energy cooperation. They agreed that fruitful alliance in the energy sector could be expanded to other sectors like cement, pharmaceutical, steel - iron ore, etc, to foster stronger long term relations between the two nations.
